Natyaalaya Institute Bangalore by Mr. Dinakar now introduces various fusions and props of belly dancing which can be done at the beginner’s level. Usually drum solo is done in most belly dance schools after completing either the intermediate stage or advanced stages of belly dancing. But ‘drum solo’ in itself is so attractive and interesting and is usually every belly dance artists calling that we have now introduced a course in basic drum solo which can be done right after the Beginner’s course. It was something that just had to be done as almost 90 percent of our beginner level students just want to learn ‘Drum Solo’ and keep asking when their time will come to learn this beautiful part of belly dancing. So on popular demand we at Natyaalaya Institute Bangalore by Mr. Dinakar launch “BEGINNER’S DRUM SOLO”.

We covers all styles of belly dancing. Essentially there are 2 styles eastern and western. Eastern is the authentic style be it Arabic, Egyptian, Turkish, Lebanese and western is the fusion style like American tribal belly dance fusion, Gypsy style belly dance etc. We also cover many props in our syllabus which are namely veils, swords, Poi veils, Finger cymbals [Zills], Fan Veils, Drums, Isis Wings, Canes and Shamadan.

Belly dance or bellydance is a “Western”- coined name for a traditional “WestAsian” dance, especially raqssharqi. It is sometimes also called Middle Eastern dance or Arabic dance in the West.

Belly dance takes many different forms depending on the country and region, both in costume and dance style, and new styles have evolved in the West as its popularity has spread globally. Although contemporary forms of the dance have generally been performed by women, some of the dances, particularly the cane dance, have origins in male forms of performance.
